Our customers are typically families and schools in rural East Africa that depend on contaminated water sources. We ensure they have access to safe drinking water, proper hygiene and sanitation through our participatory training approach, effective products and last-mile distribution.
Who We Are
Aqua Clara Kenya is a B-Corp Certified Social Enterprise that designs and distributes Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) solutions across Africa. Our high quality training and effective products have enabled more than 300,000 people to have access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation and proper hygiene.

Last Mile Distribution
We design or select effective and affordable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) products, ensuring that they are easy to use and maintain. Our products are tested and approved by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS). Over 97% of our customers report that they are very satisfied with our products.
We partner with County Governments to train and support Community Health Workers (CHWs) who roll out our innovative approach called WASHiriki. CHWs form WASHiriki clubs where members learn about Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) leading to behavior change and increased demand for WASH products.
We use a market-based approach to distribute WASH products, often partnering with Microfinance Institutions to provide loans or with NGOs to subsidize for vulnerable households and schools. We also follow up on 100% of our customers, ensuring that they are able to use and maintain products correctly.
